Textile specification sheet and test method labels

Textile Standards / SUS-FTX-A structure

Momentum Textiles claims need a product, method and boundary

A test name is not a universal quality badge. Read the official asset for the exact pattern and colorway, preserve the stated class or result, and check whether the application or assembly changes what that evidence can support.

Structured evidence fields

What a reviewable statement contains

The left-to-right sequence keeps a product page from becoming a company-wide promise. Missing information is recorded as an open question rather than filled with an assumed specification.

FieldRecord
IdentityExact pattern, colorway and available product identifier
ConstructionPublished content, backing, width, repeat and applicable finish
MethodNamed abrasion, flame, colorfastness or other test method and classification
ConditionsSpecimen, direction, cleaner, exposure or assembly details stated in the asset
ScopeWhat the result covers—and what it does not establish about lifespan or another product

Abrasion result versus service life

A higher abrasion value can support comparison under the named method. It does not by itself account for seam design, soiling, cleaning, snagging, color, appearance retention or installed use. Official product pages may explicitly warn against treating a high result as a lifespan indicator.

Cleanability versus every cleaner

A product can have a published cleaning route without tolerating every chemistry or concentration. Preserve the stated cleaner ratio and procedure. Do not extend guidance from one Silica pattern or backing to another item without its current care asset.

Document taxonomy

Do not collapse unlike evidence into “certified”

The reviewed brand configuration asserts no portfolio-wide certifications. The framework below explains which fields to verify when an exact product asset presents a test report, classification, certification or regulatory statement.

Test report

Method and specimen

Record the testing body when stated, method, specimen identity, result, date and report scope. A report can be valid evidence without being a product certification.

Classification

Class tied to a standard

Preserve the exact class and standard. A flame classification for an upholstery specimen is not automatically a wall assembly approval or a promise for every construction.

Certification

Issuer, subject and validity

Check who issued it, whether it covers a product, material, facility or management system, and whether the current item and date are inside scope.

Regulatory statement

Market and declared basis

Identify the regulation, covered substance or requirement, responsible entity and document date. Compliance language is not interchangeable with environmental certification.

A verifiable next step

Ask for the current asset attached to the exact pattern.

Share the product identifier, colorway, commercial application and the method or document you need to interpret. No certificate, report or performance value will be inferred from a collection name alone.
